The execution of a Jew by guillotine - I assume - is described here. Note that the Jews accompanying the man "carefully removed ... even the smallest traces of blood" - to bury with the body.

ReplyDeleteAccording to Wikipedia, in 1818 Colmar was part of France (until 1871) and the capital of the Departement of Haut-Rhin.

ReplyDeleteThey didn't consider it murder but justice. Those were different times, hard to imagine today except for states like Iran or China.
