Merchants

Here's an interesting picture called Die Polacken/ Les Polonais by George Emanuel Opiz (1775-1841) depicting Jews coming to the famous Leipzig fair in the 1820s (I think).

    Interesting how none of them has peyos as worn today by chasidim and others.
