What am I missing about Emori and Chiti stereotypes? I only know Darchei Emori in the sense of irrational superstitions.
Don't think too deeply. :-)It has nothing to do with stereotypes. Its wordplay: the Jew who boxes is like a Hittite. The Jew who likes the ladies is like an Am[o]urite.
That had me too because I was doing rishon rishon and trying to associate Pugilism with Amorite. I thougt Hittite was "hitting" on women :)
