I understand that all the gossip around his supposedly relaxed practice of religion has created a bad aura around this figure, not least some testimony saying that he was seen playing dice in Soho, London, among non Jews.<br />But nonetheless Luzzatto was also the author of a poem against the habit of playing cards which is one of the few poems found outside his collections of sonnets Elleh Bene Ha-ne'urim. The poem manuscript and autograph, scribbled on a piece of paper, is extant in one manuscript collection of hebrew poems.
